href=\"http:\/\/www.maydreamsgardens.com\/2012\/12\/garden-bloggers-bloom-day-december-2012.html\">GBBD<\/a> again! \u00a0Time to seek out the flowers around Ball Rd and see what we can share with others. \u00a0Probably the standout right now are two Christmas roses, &#8216;HGC Jacob&#8217;. \u00a0Both plants are fully in flower and have lots of buds coming.<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_3167\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Helleborus niger &#8216;HGC Jacob&#8217;<\/p><\/div>\n<p>They don&#8217;t seem to mind the cold \u2014 we&#8217;ve had frost the last few nights \u2014 but the flowers do look a little shopworn if you examine them closely.<\/p>\n<p>What I find still remarkable is the double pink Camellia that is so far ahead of its Camellia japonica brethren.<\/p>\n<div class=\"wp-caption-text\">Double Pink Camellia<\/p><\/div>\n<p>It just keeps on putting out flowers that we bring into the house and leave on the table in small bowls.<\/p>\n<p>At the same time, across the yard our red Camellia sasanqua just never stops flowering at all and they have less of a tendency to get frosted off than the japonica.<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_3171\" style=\"width: otherwise in the yard, but in the greenhouse&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>Well a few anyway, since we&#8217;re just getting started.<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_3172\" style=\"width: 650px\" class=\"wp-caption class=\"wp-caption-text\">White-Pink Bougainvillea<\/p><\/div>\n<p>The two Bougainvillea are both flowering and budding up a storm at the same time.<\/p>\n<p>Another tropical in bloom is the class=\"wp-caption-text\">Mandevilla<\/p><\/div>\n<p>It is loving the California weather in the greenhouse. \u00a0I&#8217;m basically keeping the greenhouse at about 40 degrees minimum with an artificial rainstorm every 4 days. \u00a0Seems to be working out fine so far.<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_3179\" style=\"width: 650px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><a
