annual Spring Training trip to Florida. \u00a0I stopped at <a href=\"http:\/\/www.plantdelights.com\">Plant Delights<\/a> on my way south and then again at Plant Delights and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.pineknotfarms.com\">Pine Knot Farms<\/a> on the way north. \u00a0Each time the weather was on the cool side. \u00a0In fact on the way south it was a miserable 37 degrees with cold rain falling. \u00a0Plant Delights was not nearly so crowded as I&#8217;ve seen it on other occasions. \u00a0They even had a portable oil fired heater set up just so the people at the checkout stand could work without gloves.<a href=\"http:\/\/wp.macfusion.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/03\/Open-House-at-Plant-Delights.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full over the week (a few more jumped into the car while I was there) and then I went another hour north to the Hellebore Festival at Pine Knot Farms.<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_3287\" style=\"width: his <a href=\"http:\/\/www.edgewoodgardens.net\/index.html\">Edgewood Gardens<\/a> in Pennsylvania. \u00a0His website is well worth exploring if you want to indulge in plant lust. \u00a0He had brought with him a variety of cyclamen and I had already decided to expand the range of cyclamen that we have so it was a very good fit indeed.<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_3288\" style=\"width: 650px\" href=\"http:\/\/www.begoniahouston.org\/print\/heracleifolianigricans.htm\">Hog-weed Begonia<\/a>&#8221; is found at a branch of the American Begonia Society.<\/p>\n<p>There is also the very lovely little Viola Dissectas that I picked up from John Lonsdale. \u00a0I can think of a lot of places in the garden to tuck in these little beauties.<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_3284\" style=\"width: class=\"wp-caption-text\">Viola dissecta<\/p><\/div>\n<p>I&#8217;ve also started to get very enthusiastic about trying some of the more exotic Oxalis since seeing one in bloom over the holidays in California. \u00a0I couldn&#8217;t miss the unusual foliage of this Palm-Leaf False Shamrock. \u00a0It&#8217;s said to be tough to get to flower but with these leaves the flowers would just be a plants wouldn&#8217;t. \u00a0We played with them (they squish with lots of water released). \u00a0So I have been reluctant to take them up. \u00a0Besides in a cold climate they must freeze right? \u00a0But apparently they are hardier than I thought and I can now start to image how these little sunlit jewels fit into a rock garden&#8230;<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_3279\" style=\"width: 650px\" Spring Training trip to Florida. \u00a0I stopped at Plant Delights on my way south and then again at Plant Delights and Pine Knot Farms on the way north. \u00a0Each time the weather was on the cool side. \u00a0In fact on the way south it was a miserable 37 degrees with cold rain falling. \u00a0Plant Delights was not nearly so crowded as I&#8217;ve seen it on other occasions. \u00a0They even had a portable oil fired heater set up just so the people at
