covered with the golden Adonis. \u00a0Subsequently, I did order one from Asiatica and by happenstance got a premium variety, &#8216;Sandanzaki&#8217;, that I have tried to slow down by mulching for this year as it lost parts of the flower to cold weather last year. \u00a0It is nonetheless sticking it&#8217;s head above the ground now too. \u00a0Fukujukai is apparently a sterile hybrid that developed in the wild and may be the most popular cultivar because of it&#8217;s semi-double flowers and vigorous growth habit (I see five buds above ground in it&#8217;s second year of flowering).<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_3224\" style=\"width: 650px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><a href=\"http:\/\/wp.macfusion.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/01\/Adonis-amurensis-Fukujukai-3.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-3224\" class=\"size-full wp-image-3224\" alt=\"Adonis amurensis 'Fukujukai' \" src=\"http:\/\/wp.macfusion.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/01\/Adonis-amurensis-Fukujukai-3.jpg\" width=\"640\" height=\"426\" srcset=\"http:\/\/macgardens.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/01\/Adonis-amurensis-Fukujukai-3.jpg 640w, http:\/\/macgardens.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/01\/Adonis-amurensis-Fukujukai-3-150x99.jpg 150w, http:\/\/macgardens.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/01\/Adonis-amurensis-Fukujukai-3-300x199.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 640px) 100vw, 640px\" \/><\/a><p id=\"caption-attachment-3224\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Adonis amurensis &#8216;Fukujukai&#8217;
